ABOUT THE CLUB

The Selkirk Royals Girls Volleyball Club's vision is to run a quality, competitive program to help develop athletes and coaches in the sport of volleyball.  This program has been instrumental in the success of our high school programs, as well as developing many top level volleyball players from the area.

We strongly believe that it is important that athletes and coaches have a positive and memorable experience.  Meeting new people, developing friendships and competing together is one of the greatest outcomes of sports.  Our goal is to make the Royals Club Volleyball experience positive, memorable and rewarding.

Learn What We Value

CLUB'S PHILOSPHY

It is our coaching philosophy to help the athlete and team reach their maximum potential and become the best they can be.  In order to achieve success we as a team must be;

  1. Committed

  2.  Hard-working

  3. Coachable

  4. Team players

We feel these four characteristics are extremely important for team success.  But even more importantly they are valuable life skills.  Being strong in these areas will help the girls become better people.

COMMITMENT

Our athletes must be committed to the team attending all practices, games and team functions.  Any absences need to be communicated to the coaches.

HARD-WORKING

The athletes must work hard at each and every practice.  Players will be challenged physically as well as mentally.  Athletes need to be prepared to be challenged by the coaches in practices and at games.

COACHABLE

It is important that athletes must work hard at each and every practice. They need to be willing to learn, try new things or positions and accept corrections. In order to improve and become better each and every day this is essential.

TEAM PLAYERS

Being a team player and a close knit team is critical to any success.  Players need to support one another, cheer for one another and accept their roles.
